Overheat alarm going off (need help)

I changed the impellar and cleaned the poppit valve out a couple days ago and my damn horn goes off after about 4-5 minutes idling (never did this before). I have plenty of water PSI and the engine is streaming water like it should. What in the heck is wrong

Why did you change the impeller? Was it tore up? I had one burn up one time and didn't get all the parts one found its way to a port and scorched a cylinder. If this is the case do not run the motor.

Did you reinstall the poppit the right way? Some of the Yammie diagrams have it backwards. If you have the mushroom shaped poppit, the head end goes towards the engine block, the stem end towards the spring. If you have the old style, the shorter of the two stem ends goes to the block, longer towards the rear.
