I have a 2000 225 pro v. I would like to know where to check the prower trim fluid level. and what kind of fluid do i us please help

Remove the cap with a phillips head screwdriver, and do it slowly. Add fluid until it's level with the hole, then put the cap back on.

Just a reminder as a safety precaution make sure you put down the motor supports when the motor is trimmed up.

Yamaha power trim & tilt fluid or ATF (DEXRON II).

Use the link pinned at the top of this page to view a manual. Chapter 4, page 18 will give you directions.

While you have the engine up, don't forget to add a dab of marine grease to the ends of the trim rods.
