250 VMAX Ideal RPMS at neutral idle

My 250 VMAX seems to idle so slow that it wants to die. Otherwise runs great. Before I adjust it up I wondered what the recommeded or ideal RPM rate for a neutral idle is.

I know my 225 HPDI idles at 900 rpm. I'd guess it would be about the same.

    Current: 2006 ~ 20i ~ 250 HPDI ~ T1-25p

I have mine set about 650rpm and it idles fine. When I get up to about 750rpm at idle, it clunks the gears too hard when the fast idle is active (like when launching the boat and pulling up the dock after launching). Anything below 600rpm seems to cause problems.

I'd let it warm up before I put it in gear. Use the TM if you have to.
