Hi. another question about ldle adjustment on a 2008 200 hpdi. where on the motor is my idle adjustment? Its idling at 1000 to 1100 rpms with only a little more than an hour on the motor.Should i wait until i get more hours on it before i adjust it? My dealer which is 5 hours away says there is a black rod near the linkage entering the motor with the fuel line and to just back it off, i dont see any black rod.thanks for your time.
Standing at the rear of the motor on the right side you will see the throttle shaft and air plenum. You will also see the cam follower black and the roller white. You will see a phillips head screw usually with yellow paint on it, turn this screw counter clockwise untill you achieve the correct idle. If your boat has a hot foot you will have to make sure it is adjusted correctly. Your dealer misled you, dont touch anything else.
