my 200 ox66 has done this a couple times and i am not sure why , i will be running flat out at around 6 k and it will just shut down like you have pulled kill switch . you crank it right back up and away it goes , i had a wiring issue one time before but no problems after splicing those wires . it started it one more time testerday , i let off gas and then stomped it and it took off again ,not sure if electrical or fuel prob , any ideas ??
Sounds like your fuel pumps to me. I recently worked on a 150 with the same symptoms, wide open and then shutting down, and that solved the problem. Have you ever replaced them ? There are no doubt other possibilities but I would look at the fuel supply first .
There is a relay switch for the fuel pump. They can do this. Call HT and see what they say.

It might be that you're running about 600 rpm above WOT rpm. According to seloc it should be between 4500-5500, I've seen elsewhere 5300...but can't remember where.

No rev limiter is 6150 and will not shut motor down just slow you down that motor likes 5800rpms.
