Hard start\smokes after 30-60 minutes hot soak

2001 Yamaha 150 VMax HPDI: Has about 240 hours. This problem started the last couple of times out last year and has continued this season. After running down the lake and shut off for about 1\2 to an hour fish time and restarted it is hard to start, smokes and can smell raw fuel in the exhaust. After raise the RPMs it clears out and runs great until the next hot soak. It runs great at all throttle angles. I have not changed anything to the motor, fuel or oil. I tried new spark plugs last week, but made no difference.
Any suggestions\comments appreciated.

While in my search for answers I came across this site http://www.selocmarine.com/, that has a subscription to service manuals online. It was helpful, as my oil pump linkage was extremely out of adjustment as per the procedure in the online manual. I hope this might cure my problem.
