Ok, I have changed the primer, fuel line from the primer all the way to the filter housing, changed the fuel filter, plugs, has a new 02 sensor. I even drained the fuel from the vst housing and it looked good. Here's the deal.
Running in a tournament yesterday, we go about 8 miles at 3/4 throttle through rough water at 55 mph. I see smoother water and a couple champions in front of me. I decide it's hammer time. I give it her all and hit about 71mph tourney loaded and catch the champions a 1/4 mile away and pass them. As soon and I pass them the motor shuts down for 5 seconds...no throttle response. I resume to get back to 71mph and catch and pass them again and it happens two more times. Now the rest of day it never did it again and we ran a good 40 miles.
It is an intermittant reoccuring problem. The only pattern I have to it is that after I start it and floor it for a few minutes it shuts off a couple of times at wide open throttle but won't do it again the rest of the day??? What reasons would the ECM have for shutting down an ox66? Overheat and oil? those were both fine as far as I could tell, neither light comes on on my gauge cluster?
