I normally put my boat up in early November and bring it out of storage in late March. My dealer says that if the boat is stored inside, its not necessary to fog the motor since the boat is not exposed to rapid temperature changes during the day when the sun is out, reducing the chances of condensation inside the engine. Now, here's what I do anyway. I mix up a gallon of gas, 50/1 oil and Seafoam and run the engine out of the jug for a few minutes. I then remove the plugs and give each cylinder a good shot of Mercury fogging oil and spin the motor through a revolution or 2. I button her back up and wait till next year. I also change the lower unit oil......ALWAYS. The reason I run the engine off a premixed jug is that the modern motors use such a lean oil injection ratio at idle. Seems to me that a little extra oil on the needle bearings and internals can't hurt.
