It calls for NGK BR9HS10's.... But I run BR8HS10's with alot better succsess and never fouled a plug. Many yammie owners do the same. NGK's plugs get hotter with lower numbers.

You don't need the "10" on the end if you gap them yourself to .035-.039.. Then you can buy them for $1.79 at Advanced auto etc...

The motor currently has BKR7EKU..... CHANGING THE PLUGS TO WHAT YOU RECOMMEND WILL not hurt the motor right? sorry for the caps.. to lazy to re-type LOL

Don't change the plugs to the BR8HS-10, these are for the OX66. For your HPDI, you need the BKR7EKU. Gap to 0.02-0.03 and torque to 18 ft. lb. (This is per the manual, which there's a link for pinned to the top).

I don't know if you can go to the next hotter plug but I'd think someone with your engine would be along to set us straight.

Mike and I both thought you were running the OX66 when you said VMax 250.

This is true....You did not say "HPDI" and I did not think the 250 HPDI came out until after 2003... But it came out in 2003... Sorry for the confusion..

Jerry... Did you get up in the middle of the night just to correct me? Why are you up so early/late?

I always wake up in the middle of the night to go...! On the weekends, I just get on the 'puter to check things out, real quick like, then go back to bed.
