ring free shock

I just got my boat and i know that ringfree has never been used in the motor. It's a 2001 225hp vmax ox66. I just replaced the O2 sensor, and spark plugs. I picked up some ring free and was reading the back of the bottle and it mentioned something about shocking the motor. Has anyone done this before? Anyone recommend i do this since the motor has never had any contact with ring free before? I am going to use ringfree religiously from here out.

We do not recommend a shock treatment as it will break loose larger chunks of carbon deposits that will have to go through your engine. This is not good. Just begin using ring free as recommended on the bottle and it will do it's job and clean the carbon as you use it.
