    Yamaha Water Pressure Guage

I am now moving on to my third Yamaha guage. The first one must have froze over the winter. Learning curve. This one I had the dealer winterize and don't think he blew the water out. So now I am in need of a new one. Anyone have a good place to buy them. Also, is there any other way to connect the hose to the guage other than the barbed brass fitting. The water was leaking so I put a zip tie on the hose. Maybe a small hose clamp..... Any ideas.

I bought mine on Ebay a few months ago, new, and it was less than half the list price. I bought it to use on my upper helm station and haven't hooked it up yet because I haven't found the correct hose. I'm also concerned about the connection......if it fails, all of that saltwater will be slung around - obviously not good!

I'll report back if I make any progress....

I have frozen 3 of these gauges. Stupid winter.. I bought my replacements on e-bay as well and I have the brass fittings and ferrel to connect. No leaking.

what is the standard size for the tube and what size are those compression fittings. Also With that drop do you notice any water pressure change on your guage.

I'm waiting to get info on the diameter of the tubing....on mine it looks to be about 1/8" o.d. but it's probably a metric size.

My existing gauge reads between 17-20psi for my 200hpdi......it's never been lower and if it does go lower I'll suspect a blockage or something.

1/8 inch,it's the same that comes standard on the boats. you don't need compression fittings, go to Home Depot = Lowes to get plastic "for refrigerators" they won't leak. As far as a valve a pek-(edit) (sp) would work. I found my valve around @ work. I don't see any drop off on pressure. If there was any kind of leakage I'd get a wet leg
