take it to the dealer it still should be under warrenty, i doubt its anything serious but just take it just in case. might just be some loose.

My 04 250 HPDI was making a clicking, tapping noise that was noticable at idle and low rpm. Took it to the local Ranger/Yamaha dealer 3 times to diagnose. They said they could not hear it and messed with filters and other nonrelated items, and told me not to worry. It blew the next trip out. Good luck, I hope you have a more qualified mechanic look at yours.
