I use 2 pieces of 3/4" PVC over the trim rams. Lower the motor on to them, and rock and roll.

I use a T-Rex, a great idea but the Aluminum support is too small in diameter.will take it to a local welder and have it beefed up.

In defense of my Lock-n-Haul, I want to say that I have shipped them all over the country and this is the first time that I have heard that one came off during transport. The unit is designed to remain in position when properly installed, and to completly isolate the shock that is transferred from the trailer to the lower unit of the motor when traveling on rough roads, and to lock the steering system from any movement. Included in the manual that is shipped with the unit are detailed instructions including pictures on how to install it, and on the importance of properly centering it during installation.
