My dad is looking at a boat with a 2006 225 hpdi, low hours, is there anything in particular he should be worried about. Also, were they available in the 3.3l and 2.6, didn't know if there was only one size available.

the 2.6 is 200hp and possibly a 175hp
The 2006 200 is a 3.3 and I think it has been since 2005, maybe 2004.

I had a cold start problem, it is now corrected, the serial # will tell with Yamaha if the ECM needs to be replaced. After installing new ECM I have not had a problem with mine at all. I also switched from running Ring Free to Sea foam and found that I have no more carbon in the prop JFYI....
