How can i secure my plug wires on my yamaha 130. The engine was running poorly yesterday when I pulled the cowling off I noticed two spark plug boots slid off the spark plugs. It is a 92 130. Is ther eany silicone that would hold them better. I do not want to put any grease on the plugs.
Must have been a fluke, never had that problem. Does it happen often?

Get a small wire tie and put around the loose boot. Secure it enough to keep it in place but loose enough you can still pull the boot loose.
It happens often. It would be great if the boot snapped on to the plug. The hole is just to big in the 4 boots. I thought about using silicone but don't know if the spark would be strong enough. The boots would never come off then.
Yep, a small zip tie around the boot will keep it on and still let you remove the plug wire easily. I had to do that to mine once I started hopping the motor up and pulling plugs after every trip...
