1999 200v-max losing RPMs

My motor loses power and rpms after about 1/4 mile. When the engine bogs, I can let off the hotfoot for a few seconds, then get back on it. The motor runs good (5800)rpms for a little while, then slows to 5200 rpms. This problem has been slow in developing, but is getting worse. It is more noticable when I have more weight in the boat. I looked at the O2 sensor, it was a redish color, but didn't put any solvent on it. The plunger that goes to the exhaust port had a large carbon deposit on the narrow section of the plunger. I cleaned it off, but haven't been able to run the motor yet. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You're on the right track, I believe. Check your fuel pumps for leaks also. Try pumping the fuel bulb with the cowling removed and then look at the back of the fuel pumps for gas. A small pinhole may not show the leaks as easily as a larger hole.

I found water in my fuel filter bowl. I'm not sure if the O2 sensor was part of the problem or not. It is running fine now. Thanks

I forgot to mention that I removed all three fuel pumps and watched them while my son pumped the bulb. No leaks.
