    Outboard cover, worth it??

I have to store my boat outside for a while now. I have a Ranger cover for my boat, but not the motor cover....is this something I need??

If you buy the Yamaha cover it is lined and is very tight. I had my upholsterer cut out all the vents and the P-hole and sew around them so I can leave it on 24/7 and run with it. It protects my cowling from scratches and moron backseaters.

if you are going to be storing the boat in a shed of some kind all it will do is keep the dust off!

I love mine, also helps with keeping the rocks from chipping the paint going down the road.

I love mine also ! It keeps bugs and rocks off your motor when your going down the road. It also keeps mice, birds, wasps and other pesky insects out of your motor so i have always felt it was well worth the price. I wanted to have the cutouts with mesh done to mine but the bugs are still gonna be able to get in and set up home, so i just take it off and put it on every time.

If your keeping it outside, it will keep it from fading as bad also.

I keep my motor cover on more than my boat cover. Expecially when towing down the road. The cover will save the cowing from small rocks and big bugs.
The link below is to boats.net. I found my motor cover there for my HPDI half the price the dealer was charging.
