    Checking Throttle for FULL throttle...

    Ok,

I'm coming off of carb motor experience, first off.. My question is in regards to a Vmax 225 EFI.... If I were to check for full throttle response... Do I just remove the cowling and open up the intake cover (or whatever it is called?) and check for parallel plates when the hot foot is fully depressed? If if is off do I adjust this at the hot foot or at the motor, and where if it is at the motor?

    Thanks in advance.

No expert here but I would think a quick look at the linkage under the cowl to see if it travels to full at the track/connection would tell you. Adjustment at the foot most likely

Your probably correct. I'm hitting my head on the wall right now as I just realized that throttle plates aren't on my engine (no carbs)

    Anyone else?

The reason my for interest is I have lost about 2-3 mph in the last month and it was just after I noticed that my hot foot was not screwed down solid at the front.. When it was loose the cable was possibly allowed to travel further at WOT...

I was going to mention the plate thing on your injected motor but figured it would dawn on you soon enough.

At least you didnt ask about valve adjustments on a two stroke.

What you said first up is what you need to do.

Take the black plastic intake cover off, open the hotfoot up and look at the position of the throttle butterflies.

Can/should also measure the voltage output of the TPS at WOT, should be 4 volts or over on an Ox66 motor. Ignition on but motor not running.
