Mitsu makes allot of electronic stuff, probably has always been a mitsu part just doesn't have the yammie stamp on that one.

Look at the under side of your trim unit and you will find a stamp that says SHOWA, showa is a honda company that makes shocks for motorcycles including Harley Davidson
