Call from svc mgr today, said my lower unit is trash a/c impact, apparently damage in the nose cone area they can't get out? Bottom line is apparently about $3800 for a new lower unit plus labor. Anyone got a handle on a very good used one anywhere? Serial number is E225FPLSSC. He says he has a couple but can't vouch for them.
I'll probably go ahead and bite the bullet and tell him to order one but thought I'd throw out a line and see if something turns up.
