8inch Setback vs 6inch Setback

Would an 8 inch setback plate provide any better holeshot by changing the moment about which the boat breaks over? If so can you get 2 inch extensions that will work with a Slidemaster 6 inch plate? What are the advantages of more or less setback?

In theory - the longer plate will allow you to run the motor higher depending on the water rise behind the boat. If you run the 2" extensions - they have to be installed between the motor and the plate since BC runs a 6 hole plate.
