    2004 140 HP 4 Stroke

Hi, I'm new to this forum, But if any one has any questions i'll try to answer any that is ask's. Not real sure how dependable this Suzuki will be, but from what i;m hearing, I may not have many problems. The only down side I have found, is a slow hole shot. (EX-200hp Mercury Owner) But other than that it has been maint. free, and GAS friendly

What are you running this motor on? I've sort of lost interest in the speed aspect of fishing so I was seriously considering going to the 140 4-stroke if my current 150ss would ever fail. Overall, how would you say the performance of this motor compares to a 150?

Suzuki's new DF150 will be right up there with your old motor. I think I'd go with the new DF150 instead of a DF140 if you're replacing a 150.

You're absolutely right about the df150. I guess it took them so long to get it out I forgot all about it. That would be the replacement for my 2stroke.

I have a 1995 379 Javelin. This boat will run at WOT Approx. 62 mph. GPS ( full load and partner) 6200 RPM. As I said before the only down fall is the slow hole shot. I'm currently running a 25- 4 blade trophy prop. A whale tail helped some but still slow. As for a cold start up I do not have to do anything but turn the key, I don't prime the bulb or choke the engine. Very dependable motor so far..
