Question for Don or Sherm, new four stoke 150

I've been reading about this new four stroke 150 and I was looking if it could work out for what I would want to use it for, repowering a 96 champion 202, all the lakes I fish are speed retricted, 35 and under, so if this 3.0 L would get me on plane and get a top end of 50 I'd be fine, fuel mileage and beable to use my current controls, no more 2 stoke oil, more room for another battery for a 36 volt trolling motor.
I mean these motor are going on 20 ft plus bay and flats boats why wouldn't work on a bass boat that doesn't need to go 60 plus?
Is there any inside if there going to build this little 4 banger out to a 200 ?
I know there's the verado but I like this new motor.

It certainly "could" be done.

However, IMHO... you're going to be substantially underpowered.

Although there is no concrete information... I would watch for a while. Wouldn't surprise me to see a "bigger brother" added to the line at some point in the future.
