What is the difference between the xs and the xs sport? Looking at a boat with a 2006 XS sport on it. Is it a good motor? Will it use more fuel than the XS?

Essentially the same engine.
The XS has been available with a Torquemaster Gearcase OR a Sportmaster Gearcase.
The "Sportmaster" model is now known as the "Sport XS".

I am currently running a 1995 mariner super mag it drinks gas this sport xs will be much easier on fuel i hope.
Should be MUCH more fuel-friendly.

Its on ZX 300 skeeter. Big boat 21 foot 96 inch beam it came out of lanier marine in Georgia it was set up like that I am 3 rd owner. Don't know why they put it on that boat it will gps 70 mph. Trying to sell it locally had the motor on here a few months ago for $4000. Asking $9500 for the whole rig.
Might want to double check and see if the gearcase might have been changed.
A Sportmaster Gearcase is NOT suitable for this boat.
