    Warning buzzer help

Ok here is the problem, new boat to me, 205 225L opti, Serial 1B041507 when you turn the key on the buzzer sounds for a short time telling that it does indeed work. Then motor running or not it still is buzzing only at a very low level, can hardly even hear it. Can it be possible that the buzzer is faulty?

Does not have smartcraft gauges. And the engine guardian system has not been activated while in my short possession. Engine mounted oil reservoir is full, tried draining out any water that may have been in fuel filter. Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Warning buzzer help (KRJ)

Warning buzzer should not be sounding AT ALL with the engine running.

Recommend you get it on the Computer Diagnostic System, for printouts of:

    -Run History
    -ACTIVE FAULTS
    -Freeze Frame (Fault) History

While it's on the CDS.... recommend a Warning Horn Test be performed.

    Re: (spider1)

That is what the local shop thinks as well, but does not have the software and such to hook it up. It will have to go at least 1hr away to do so.

Any one know where the ground point is for the warning system?

    Re: (KRJ)

    Warning horn has TWO wires:

Purple: 12V+ power from keyswitch circuit

Tan w/Blue Stripe: Ground signal, sent from the PCM on the engine (PCM signals the warning horn to sound by supplying a ground on this circuit).
