2003 Evinrude 200

I ran my new boat this weekend for the first time. It is a 2003 Ranger 519 with a 2003 "Rude" 200 on the hind quarters. I was amazed at the power of this engine on the back of the boat. I have ran Merc's and Yammies on past boats, but this is the hardest pulling engine that I have ever seen in the 200 Class. Thanks for the past evinrude advice from all of you guy's. I hope me and my new 200 have a long and happy friendship By the way, top speed G.P.S is 73.8 at 5850rpm's. Awsome Ride

Have the dealer check the tach with the software to be sure it is correct at 5850.

Tha T is on the 6th of May, I'm coming down on the 3rd and staying til Sunday morning !! Prolly gonna fry a couple turkeys and sure nuff gonna be some boilt p nuts!!!

Rusty, Here is a pick of the 2003 "Rude" hanging on the back of my Ranger. It is the one that I've posted on. Let me know what I need to do as far as checking out the engine. The person I purchased it from was a promo fisherman and said that the engine has appx 10 hours on it. Havn't done anything yet..... just looking for some good sound honest advice. Engine and boat both look like brand new! Thanks

It is important to get the tach checked,however, that is a sharp rig you got there!

Ask for a print out of the engine report, it will have all the information about this motor, also as always ask for a compression check.
