You should be able to just turn the key on with out starting the motor and look at your gauges. Thats how mine is it shouldn't have to be running.
On the monitor I have, it has gallons used.. So if I fill up I know what is left all the time.![]()
Other then that I look at the tank![]()

Is your Smartcraft system set up with a FUEL/OIL level Harness (i.e.: Fuel level is displayed on Smartcraft)?
If so.... simply turn the key to the ON position, and select Fuel Level display in your Smartcraft Instrument.![]()
Keep in mind- if utilizing Smartcraft Fuel Level while FILLING the tank- the display is dampened (may not respond for 30-60 seconds).

Using master shut off switch and key rarely gets shut off
It's not a good idea to use your Master switch for the purposes of shutting down the power (normally operated by the keyswitch). There are multiple EXPENSIVE electrical components on the engine being placed at risk each time this occurs...![]()
