I am looking at a boat with a 04 250xs.
Just wondering if there is anything I need to be aware of other than the usual compression and leak down test is there anything else I should have looked at?
Also do I only want to run 91 octane fuel in this motor? etc.
Then just for grins, as far as fuel consumption goes?
I had a 2000 225 efi that really went through fuel just wondering how this motor is on gas.

Would also recommend it be connected to the Computer Diagnostic System, for PRINTOUTS of:
-Run History
-Freeze Frame (Fault) History
Additionally, gearcase check, and MAINTENANCE HISTORY (and needs) review is wise.
High test (91+ octane) fuel ONLY in this engine.
Fuel consumption will be a dramatic improvement over your old EFI.... at least 33% less fuel consumed.
