Don-Kllr Bee others in the know

As Don knows i'm replacing a couple injectors and reed va's. I though this motor (01/250 xb) was like my promax but when i took it down it has the dividers between the injectors and if one goes down it's over with. I was reading Kllr Bee post about having these dividers removed from the intake to keep from getting a dry cyl. Looking at how close the injectors are to the reed plate there does not seem to be enough space for the injectors to spread the fuel wide enough to get any fuel to the other cyl incase one injector goes out. I have never seen one of these injectors spray neither so i am just guessing. Have not seen Kllr Bee post in a few months so i think talking to him is out. Any opinions??? Love this motor and dont want to loose it.

for sure not a pro, but, I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night !!!!!!!!

I would think that because the motor pulls the fuel/air mixture in while running, that it would suck the mix for the adjacent injector if needed. probably not enough to run right but maybe enough to keep the cylinder lubed up. I guess that's the goal anyway.

This is a "catch-29" scenario question. I can add pros, and cons for both sides of the equation.

While removal MIGHT improve the backup of SOME lubrication, it will also interfere with the intended intake flow pattern, primarily affecting HOLESHOT, ACCELERATION, and Mid-range operation.

Personally- I'd leave it as designed- and shut the engine down for inspection/testing any time PERFORMANCE suffers or is not correct.

Running with a faulty injector (regardless of intake configuration) is, without a doubt, leaving at least one (or potentially two) cylinders LEAN.

We'll be talking later today with some good options.

I'll try anything once. If I was doing it again I would still cut the plate. I believe Brucato sells a precut intake plate. Yes it hurts holeshot some but I did not notice any change in midrange or topend.

Hey Richard, good too see you post again. Still looking for 300 promax heads if you come across any. How's the knee and how is the 300 and bullett doing?

Did someone tell me there was a pre filter on the fuel regulator, have not had time to look but got to do it soon.

There's a final filter in it.... if you take the regulator apart (two screws), you'll see a very small, round filter there.
