PLEASE don't try making anything to accomplish this. It's simply not worth the risk of getting hurt, or dropping your engine.
Part# 904551 lifting eye is the CORRECT tool.... and it's really not that expensive.![]()

Totally agree with Don, somethings are not worth the risk associated with things like this![]()
. Just the thought of a powerhead or complete outboard dropping to the floor or on someone is just unthinkable.............
