    primer bulb wont pump up

I just changed the gas line on my boat due to the recent post. My primer bulb wont pump up pressure. I have had the boat out 3 times now and it runs fine but the primer bulb has no pressure. It feels like it has air in the line. Is this a problem and if so what do I do to fix it? I was wondering if maybe I bought a bad bulb.

    Cole:

It's not impossible that you have a faulty bulb. Recommend ONLY the 13330Q07 Quicksilver Primer bulb be utilizied.

When pumping the bulb, make sure you're rotating it so that the arrow points "UP" (as in towards the sky). This ensures that the check valves in the bulb function properly.

It should pump up firm PRIOR to starting the engine (but will not remain firm once engine has been run, pulling fuel THROUGH the bulb under vaccum).
