    Leaking Trim Fluid

    Don,

Looks like I am leaking trim fluid out of the bottom of my trim/tilt assembly. See the pics below for the location of where the fluid is pooling. I looked around but could not find the source of the leak so I am guessing its coming from the bottom of the unit. Inspected the topside of the tilt ram and the topside of the trim rams no leaks. No leaks from the filler port or where the motor is mounted. Motor is a 2003 Optimax 225 Ser # OT667018.

Got any guesses where the leak is at and how to go forward from here, can this thing be rebuilt?

    Thanks and Merry Christmas!

What would be the typical labor time on replacement of the lower cross pin o-rings?

Same as complete system reseal (system must be removed and torn down to completely reseal).

Cost will vary, depending on the labor rate (and actual engine installation)- but will usually average about 3.5 hours labor.
