250 efi and 250xb similar?

How much difference between the two other than where they were built?

robbie,xb is going to have fiber reeds,different tuner,solid mounts,and probley higher limiter. Most of the 250efi i have seen were on off shore boats. dont hear any bad things about them.

Computers,heads,sleeves,pistons,intake manifold,cdm's,the list goes on and on.They do however both say Mercury 250 on them.

LOL,Thats quite a difference!!!!

Basically the 250 EFI is a 225 EFI with 2* more of timing advance at WOT.
If you have serial # of a 250 and 225 EFI of the same year, in the 2000-2001 model, you will see that the ING. ECU is the only different part #.

But a 250 XB is a totally different animal.

Joe is right. The ProXB is an "ANIMAL". Arguably the most powerful 250 out there, it is thirsty on the gas though......
