Back in the Bullet family!! Could use some setup advice

Finally picked up my old '91 Bullet XRD. I was told Bullet only made a few extended raised decks back in '91. Had my old 200 EFI Merc put on her. Road today but don't have my gps hooked up yet. I may need to raise the motor a bit. Could use some advice. Its a 2.5 liter with a Bob's nose cone on it. 12" jackplate. how high should I run it? Right now I got a 26 pitch Trophy Plus and a 25 pitch Tempest. I will get some kind of chopper later to play with. Any idea what i should see? Any chance of reaching 80? If so with what?

I don't think you'll hit 80 but you'll be in the mid to upper 70's for sure...

The 91's are pretty lite (900-950) so you may touch 80 when set up right.

What is your water pressure at WOT now??

On my 90 21Vee I could only squeeze 75mph out of it with a carbed 2.4 200.. I would think you should be able to get a few more with that mota. I didnt see 75 until I put a 14" jack plate on it. 75 was with a 27p chopper

Hope you hit 80, 73 is my best so far with what looks like the same motor(95 200 efi) and our boats should weigh bout the same (93 20xd) also the same prop. I am still learning to drive though so that has alot to do with my slower speed, I only have 10 inch setback also. Keep us informed and welcome back.

Thanks. I'm not unrealistic to think I'm gonna hit 80 with a Trophy or a 25 Tempest for that matter. I;m just hoping that I can come across around a 28 pitch chopper prop of some kind to touch 80. Yes I have a '95 200 EFI. I have a Bob's nosecone on it with 12 inches of setback. We gonna go play Friday and play in Diversion Canal.
