    Need prop suggestions for 21XD

I have 1999 21XD with a 300 Pro Max. Slung a ear off of my 30p 14.5 Spinelli overhub exhaust. I loved this wheel. only one i have had since new. I am also running a sporty with stock gears. 12" setback. I have heard nothing good about trophy's quality. I am going to try out a worked Bravo. I am retirerd now (not by choice) so things are tight. the price on the bravo out the door is $750.00

I'd steer clear of the trophy. I was a victim one time and that was enough for me. I hear of guys on here talking about four or five times.

You need to work with Lee Sanderson and Robbie Patterson up in Chester (www.sandersonpropeller.com). They know how to make hp boats run!

Agree with Rob, go see Lee and Robbie. They are right down the road and know HP rigs.

Thats where i am going to try the worked bravo the FnR prop project folded up even though they had good results. Thats why i was looking for some other options where Bullets are popular, not many here. Thanks.

Re: Need prop suggestions for 21XD (Va.Bullet)

For the money ($319.95)( http://www.pitstopmarine.com) a powertech tro4 is very hard to fault on a Bullet.... I have a 2002 21 xdc with 2004 250 XS and run a 28 powertech tro4 with the vent holes opened to 3/4 inch and it comes out of the hole very nice ; even with two guys and full livewell. My gearcase is a 1:75 TM and my rev limit is 5850. I have had it to 84 mph with the jackplate quite low ; but I only had one outing with it before ice up and feel there is more speed with raising the plate. It lifted the bow very easily with the propshaft set 2 inches below the pad so I feel I will gain some when I find the sweetspot with propshaft height.

Need to keep your eye out, 30 bravo's show up once in a while and can be had for around 500, most have already been worked and have the dual pvs holes.. They are getting very slim on ebay but still see one once in a while that is moderatly priced..

Some are also running the TXP OT4 with good results, they run like a Trophy, maybe even a little better, but stay together..

Something is wrong if you only get 74 w/250 powered 21XD Unless you have a 25P on the limiter

Definantly something wrong, I get almost 80 out of my 21XD with a 3.0 225 EFI, and a crappy 27 pitch tempest plus thats is minimaly dinged up.

Re: Need prop suggestions for 21XD (crash1big)

Inside the barrel of the powertech tro4 there are some overhanging rings that I removed also. They look like they would impede exhaust flow ;and seeing as how the Hydromotive quad 4-X OBs or the Furys didn,t have these rings ; I removed them.... Maybe that is why your powertech was not right ... I found that the powertech worked very similar to a 28 trophy on my 202 Blazer except the powertech did not blow out on breakover, on my 21 XDC Bullet it seems to need much less positive trim to keep the bow up ...
