    Customline trailer brakes

I think the shock absorber in my trailer tongue that absorbs the surge when applying the brakes is blown. It seems like I have too much slack and it really thumps hard when I move ahead ater stopping. Any advice ???

More than likely your brakes are not working at all! My customline was the same way and now my boatmate has the same problem!!!

Bleed the brakes. Mine did that until I bled them.

the only way i found to bleed them is to gravity bleed the brakes. open the bleeder and leave the resivoir open and full, once you have a steady flow of fluid and not air close the bleeder and try it, ihad to do it several times and mine still dont work right, i think theres sumthin else rong with mine

I have bled many by dropping the tongue down to promote the air to go to the bleeder. Then with two guys, one opening the farthest line from the actuator and the other guy pushing on the actuator bleeds out the air fast. Tighten and do it again and again. Putting a hose on the bleeder and in a jar of DOT3 fluid. Then do the shorter side.
