    prop suggestion

20XD with 225 Pro XS with 1.75 gears and low water lower and 12" plate. What props are most running tournament loaded ? Blade styles and pitch? Thanks Jeff S.

    Re: prop suggestion (FSHRMN1010)

I have never propped a boat with your set-up but it seems like the Bravo fits just about any application for a fishing.

I would also say that a TXP 4 O/T would be a great fishing load prop. I have had very good results with those two props for a fishing load and thats all I run for tournaments. I have not found an over the hub to satisfy my needs for fishing as of yet but I have not tried many. I am stuck on the Bravo.

Pitch I really have no idea. but I am sure someone can fill you in. Maybe 26"

Actually now that I think about it I would be VERY interested to see how the new Fury would run. I have heard very good things about that prop. The Fury may be the way to go.

I know of a guy running the same rig with a 28 Pro ET, it's a running son of a gun! Not sure of his gearset though.

I had the same set-up on my last boat and the best runnin prop I found was the
26 Trophy which has a reputation for slingin blades, but fortunately I ran the same prop for years without any problems. It was good on hole shot, awesome mid and top.

He makes it sound like a coned torque master is the way I take it.

Dang I didn't think he would be able to turn a prop that steep.

Lower is a bob's coned torque master. Rich (yellowjacket), can these 225's turn a 30" bravo1 ? I figured a 28 but a 30 is pretty tall. What kind of speeds are these running. How heavy are you loaded with these props? Any setup help could be very helpfull. Thanks Jeff S.

    Re: prop suggestion (Yellow Jacket)

Heck thats pretty dang good there Rich. And the slip numbers don't seem to be too bad.

FSHRMN1010. I think with the nosed cone you will be able to run higher and maybe pick up a mph or 2. Sounds like Rich (yellowJacket) is your man to talk to for this set-up

Very interesting. Learn somthing new every day.

Yeah, I agree I'm giving up a few mph with the Torque Master LU. A Cone or Sport Master should / may gain a few more mph

    Re: prop suggestion (Yellow Jacket)

try a 28 txp 4 blade, should run you close to 89 mph with a load
and a 28 hydromotive should put you around 87-88 mph..
motor height around 1/2 in above the pad
