    Another satisfied customer

Picked up my boat yesterday from European Marine with a new 225 ProXs. Alot of guys asked me why I was driving 5 hours to get a new motor. I wish all of them could have been there for the whole experience and the answer would have been obvious. My buddy who made the ride with me is now trying to figure out how he can dump his Yamaha and get a Merc. We stopped at Lake Hartwell to put a few minutes of break-in on it and he was impressed.
Don took care of everything and the boat was rigged better than I'd ever expect including the Merc Monitor . His tech is a class act as well. Don, you will also be happy to know that I stopped at BassPro in Atlanta to get a new motor toter and got rid of that so called toothpick. I couldn't handle the motor tilt anymore. Other than a trailer tire blowout at 4 in the afternoon in Atlanta in three lanes of traffic, the trip was great. Here's some pics.
Rigged and ready to go out again.

The attention to detail on the rigging is amazing.

This is probably Don's favorite photo (ready to go)

What type of motor toter did you get? The short one from swivel-eze that has the pins to go into the trim mount brackets?

Yes. I'm not a big fan of any of them really but that one was available. It's working better than the original aluminum vee motor toter. I figured since I got a new motor I could splurge a little. How's Lake Jordan lately? I love that lake but only get over there about 4-5 times a year.

Anytime Jim. I got a spare room and you're always welcome. Make it around the third week of September and bring a sling for your arm. We'll catch some frog fish on Eufaula.

We all need to find a way to show Rhonda and Don just how important they are to this Board. Never met either but known them forever. I also have had A# one expierence with them.

Thanks for the kind words, John!

Glad to see the toothpick is headed to the dump... I think you'll be much happier with the new one.

Let me know if we can be of further assistance.

I think the best way to show our appreciation is to buy from them. Their prices are great, Rhonda gets it shipped very quickly, they make it easy to pay, and it's always the right part that shows up on my door step. When you consider how much money they have saved us simply by their troubleshooting advice, it's a no brainer for me. Especially the service after the sell.
Don called me Monday evening just to ask me how the boat ran and if there were any issues. I'll give my money to people who deserve it, not just anybody with a wrench that wants it.

Funny thing is....I moved here from Smiths Station a year and a half ago. I work in Montgomery and my daughter graduated from SSHS. So the wife and I sold the house and bought one here at the lake. I fished this lake for quite a while in a couple of tourney trails and decided I wanted to be at it and cut 100 miles off the commute to and from work.

My partner and I took 4th out of 89 boats in April here on Lake Jordan. We had 16.65lbs of spotted bass. With one of them being a good 5 lber.

    You fish Lake Harding?

PS. I bought that same motor toter last week...and was worried about how it would support the motor weight off the transom. But if Don recommends it, I guess I did alright to get it.
