Picked up my boat yesterday from European Marine with a new 225 ProXs. Alot of guys asked me why I was driving 5 hours to get a new motor. I wish all of them could have been there for the whole experience and the answer would have been obvious. My buddy who made the ride with me is now trying to figure out how he can dump his Yamaha and get a Merc. We stopped at Lake Hartwell to put a few minutes of break-in on it and he was impressed.
Don took care of everything and the boat was rigged better than I'd ever expect including the Merc Monitor. His tech is a class act as well. Don, you will also be happy to know that I stopped at BassPro in Atlanta to get a new motor toter and got rid of that so called toothpick.
I couldn't handle the motor tilt anymore. Other than a trailer tire blowout at 4 in the afternoon in Atlanta in three lanes of traffic, the trip was great. Here's some pics.
Rigged and ready to go out again.
The attention to detail on the rigging is amazing.
