Need a little help with electrical stuff on my boat.

Guys, I don't normally ask for physical help, but I am trying to get my boat
back to fishing condition after sitting up for 10 months.
Everything seems to work except for my live well pump and my front trim swith.
I traced out the wires and re-spliced where I saw the butt connections were, but still no go.
The running lights work and is spliced to the same wires as the trim switch.
Would anyone be able to help me retrace these connections.
I would make my self available to you, by bringing the boat to your house or a launch close by and go fishing after.

    Thanks.

First off, get a cheap volt meter. It's almost impossible to test electrical items without one. Plus the running lights and the trim switch should be on different wires.

Wish I was closer, I'd give you a hand.

I have a volt meter, only reading .5 volts at slpice. I continue to work on the boat tomorrow.
