    Toledo Bend Camp?

I started throwing the idea around of buying a camp/house at toledo bend. We are gonna try to start going as much as we can. Would I be able to rent this out some to other fisherman. Also how often do you think it will rent. It will be a nice clean place. Thanks in advance for all the help.

I would think location and boat launch proximity will play some role in how often you will be able to rent it. My guess is the last year with the low water and limited access to the water played a huge role in how things were rented.

I would guess that renting on a normal basis would yield OK. Might help cover some costs but it comes with its own headaches I'm sure. Not all people treat things with respect, and some do on a normal basis yet dont when they've had too much to drink

Good luck either way you go and I am jealous for sure..... One day...

    Re: Toledo Bend Camp? (MisterE)

I have a camp (mobil home) ,i rent a lot that's on the water with a sandy beach witch wife and kids like,i would recomend that, also near the bridge is a good place if u like to fish different areas, meaning north, south,tx. side ,La. side.
I could rent mine where it is and the marina would do the the clean up for a small fee,but i haven't had to yet. The lot i have is kind up by it self,so it's like mine. What she charge's me per month is also as good as owning a pieace of property because i would have to pay more property tax and anythihg on the water is $$$$$.$$ ,I pay $34.00 a year for mobile home .not bad at all.Buddy has a camp a -frame and i think his taxes are $800.00 year.I have a good deal on the lot i have.Plus i have rental home's that pay's that for me any way.LOL
