    DEEP South Texas.. but 40 miles south of Eagle Pass, TX.

    brother owns a quite large unfenced ranch in Mexico... about 8 years ago, he started a breeding program, and would tranquilize the does, artificially insemenate them with some "record deer" sperm, and these deer in the pics are about 2 generations from the program.

    he was about to start doing that about 3 years ago, but when all the violence started in the border cities, he had to put those plans on hold for a while.

    Derek.. these deer are not held within a fenced off area.. the ranch is 15,000 acres. You have to find then and hunt them, just as you would anywhere else, he just helped out with the genetics for the first couple of years to get it started. The native deer had PI$$ poor genetics.

    It's no different than going to a lake that has a stocking program.. you still have to catch them.
