I can tell you, but then you would have to let me use the tractor to chop food plots. Wait, never mind. I don't know.
I'll check in the morning and let you know. I don't wan't to burn some wiring without checking. I know one is a hot from the switch, I don't think it would make a difference but lets get it right the first time. I'll post back tomorrow.![]()

Awesome, I will post a picture first thing in the morning. One of the poles has a prewired strap that goes into the starter, and I'm left with the other pole on the solonoid. It looks like that white and black wires stay together but I could be wrong. Where do you work Jeff
I've been working on tractors since I was a teenager. My father used to farm and he didn't like mechanic work so I started to do it. I have a 254 here that I'm gonna look at, I really would have to trace the wiring if it's not the same. I'll let you know for sure.

Sorry I'm just getting back to you, the white and black wires both go on the same pole as the battery cable. There should be a smaller black wire that comes from the key to energize the solenoid that goes to the tab on the solenoid. Hope I helped.
Was sick last night into this morning and then had to bring the wife to BR for a test at lake imaging, Sorry again.

Thanks Jeff, hope everything is good
