    SEI lower units

I posted this in the evinrude/johnson forum but thought i could get some opionions here also. My cousin is trying to get an old boat running.

Any comments on them? The good, bad, ugly? They are realitivley cheap and a 3 yr warranty sounds great, but I want some more info. Looking for one for a 1990 150 XP.

I've bought and installed four so far. (all been on the boats over a year now). No problems yet.
I think the new secret color is "A-Rig"..........

Read closely before you buy though. Some OMC's have a once piece driveshaft, some have a two piece, and then for some reason....they have either/or that is about an inch shorter or longer than previous years.
(basically, they did some goofy stuff somewhere during the early 90's)

SEI lower units for OMC might come designed for using the two piece driveshaft. (they come with the pinion end installed, and you buy the correct upper driveshaft and slide it in place).

It just gets confusing trying to get the correct upper driveshaft for an outboard that didn't come that way from the factory.
