Billet battery trays and covers. The aluminum is oxidizing under the existing coating make it flake up.

I called the one in Scott & I will bring the pieces tomorrow for them to do. She said about $50 to do 2 bottoms, 2 tops & 4 sides.

I like to never get them suckers out of there. The top ss screws had seized up inside the aluminum machined holes. Penetrating oil wouldn't get to it. I had to slice the allen head screws off w/ a dremel tool. Finally got the tops off & the batteries out then used a torch to get the broken screws and the bottom screws out to finish taking them apart. The joys of owning a boat

Let us know how they came out, and maybe some pictures.

She conveniently added $100 to the price when I got to the counter After she looked over the pieces and the way the powder coating was flaking up she said the problem was they did not use primer coat on the original pieces which was true. I'll show some pics of the finished job on Friday.

The powder coating came out well. I am guessing $150 to recoat them was cheaper than buying new ones
