Sad update on Lew's Tournament Speed spool

I bought Lew's speed spool and Lew's Tournament speed spool and I tried them out on the redfish and bass out of Pearl River back in November. The speed spool went from working smoothly to sloppy to broken after a few rat redfish. The Tournament speed spool was ok until I had to tighten the drag to pull a 2lb bass out of the brush and it went down the same road. Both reels had the same spring broke in them.

Just not the same reel as old Lew's speed spool its built just like basspro pro qualifier reels.

Biggest problem now is I am still waiting on parts that Lew's don't have.
Called the dealer I bought them from today and I am swapping them out for Shimano's and just pay the difference. Tired of waiting on parts and need some reels to go fishing with since I sold my other shimano reels.

I like the H20 reels and better built than the Lew's reels.

Kind of got to buy what the dealer stocks and mise well get shimano's.

When Academy puts the H20 reel back on sale which should be in a few weeks I'll pick up a few as spares. Missed the last $29.99 sale back in December.

Sold my Japanese Shimano's for Lew's reels that wasn't bright of me.

They were 24.99 in Alexandria, but you better be ready. They sold out quick, so I called every day waiting on a truck bringing 380 more. Was there about 11:00 the day the truck came and when I bought my four there was about 75 left. I know people that bought 10.

I think it was right before Thanksgiving. It ran a week like any sale. They sold out quick, then got another truck in with some more and sold out again same day they arrived.

They are. First couple yrs they had a piece of plastic on the handle that was breaking. They changed that and they are holding up good for the most part.

Its a pretty darn good reels for $20 ballpark when they put them on sale.

Usually they do it around Feb/March when everyone does their spring fishing sales.
Then you will see it pop up in summer and then toward holidays on sale.
You'll know it due to people will pop up on websites asking if H2O a good reel or it will be around the time when Academy sends out $10 off coupons in the mail which should be soon.
