Ava is doing very well. The first couple days after the surgery were a little scary cause she wasn't eating and had lots of swelling. They took her back to Oschner and tried putting an IV in her but had problems. But while they were trying, she made poddy and then took a bottle. She's home now. They took the bandages off and the swelling is down.. She's been playful and laughing. Now they are waiting for the 14th to turn them on.

Sorry i didn't see this post up earlier...She is back to herself again.Playing and smiling from the time she wakes up to the time she goes to bed.It makes us feel so much better to see her smiling again.The 14th won't come fast enough.I'm going to video the whole thing and put that on here.I have to do it in segments cause Channel 4 news wants to do a special on her.Cause of some law Ochsners can't allow news camera's in the hospital.So Meg Farrus of Channel 4 is going to show me how to video it then i have to send a copy to her and they will edit it there.Hopefully they can do it,then other kids that have this same hearing problem can get help.
