When those things tell you the fish are biting stay at home, they never work for me...

In my opinion, I can always usually catch something somewhere, just don't try to out fish the fish on the slow days...

Those calenders are crap. Sometimes they work for specks and reds, but bass are more affected by weather than the moon. Maybe in the dead of summertime for night fishing, but not during the spawn for sure.

If it's 75 for a whole week in March and then you get some 30 degree weather. Even if the calender says it's good, I can gaurantee you that you will be better off doing yardwork.

If it's predicting whether or not it's gonna be a good or bad day, then there are too many variables to factor in for this to work, IMO. But i do believe in the times of excellent/good, because this is predicated on the moon phase, and we know behaviour of animals is affected by the moon, like the tides. I've seen my cats during a pre-frontal period (barometric pressure dropping) go absolutely ape sheet, chasing their shadow and non existent mice, and i'll get my handheld GPS that has the solunar times on it, and more often than not, it will be during a feeding period. Another cheaper version is to look at cows!!! If they are laying down, take your time getting on the water, but if they are eating, you should already be on the water!!! I believe in it, but usually they are feeding where i'm not fishing!!!

The reason most tourney guys on here dont use them is because when a tx date is set it doesn't matter because we gotta fish anyway.Guys that dont fish tx and work all week or shift workers are in the same boat. You only have so much time off so if you wanna fish you pretty much gotta go when you can or not go at all.The few things i DO look at are tide and river stage to choose where i will go fish if i'm not fishin a tx or there are no boundrys on the tx i'm fishin.

I always look at my neighbor's wife, then decide when and where I will fish.

Saltwater the lunar table is much stronger...The rule of thumb in fresh water is that you should be at your best spot during that time...not driving...if they are there...they will be more active, not just opportunists

    Re: Lunar Calendar (signmanbasser)

Well, I have used the "Lunar Calendar" in the past.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it didn't.

Guess, we are all trying to get the "EDGE" anyway we can.

Looking at "Cows", "Cats", "Other People's Wives" or what ever.

If it works for you, then stick with it!!

I am just Happy to be here
