Switch problems!

The indicator light that comes on for the on position for the Anc. light stays on even win the switch is in the off position. The light for the navigation light goes on and off like it shoul but the anchor position indicator light stays on in any position. I put a new switch ( wasted $12) and have the same problem. Any Ideas????

make sure you do not have a nav/anchor light switch that is on up front at bow

Don't feel bad. I did the same thing last week with my areator. Had the switch on at the bow and got pissed off that it wouldn't go off. I ended up pulling the fuse. Today when I dropped the trolling motor, I saw the aerator indicator light was on.
