250 pro xb upgrade to a 300 pro xs

Will there be a large gain in speed, and overall performance if I were to swap motors?

My set-up would be ran on a 2100 Gambler, DC. What do you all think. I saw someone had an 08 2100 with a 300 pro xs. He said he clocked it at 94 on the gps. Would I gain the same jump in power.

Is the 250 pro xb about as powerful as the 300 though? i heard the xb actually puts out around 270-280....what's the word fellas?

    GOD BLESS.

I would expect you'd see about 30hp increase between a "bone stock" XB and the 300 XS.

On the 2100, that should equate to at least 2-3 MPH increase (with proper setup).

Now.... on the other hand, you'll be able to go about 50% further on the same tank of fuel. That's now a misprint.... the fuel economy is WAY better!!!!

As for 94 MPH.... that's probably a stretch (or an extremely lightly loaded boat on an absolute perfect day). Mid-to-high 80's is probably achievable on a "consistant" basis, however.

Tyler keep in mind you will be overpowering that boat....Low 90's light in the right conditions would be expected speeds.
I overpowered this outlaw and it ran 90 once and ran high 80's consistently.

I would rather be overpowered than not enough. Not saying the xb isn't enough. I have just always wanted a 300. Either way I might try to put something together. Is the gas mileage on the 300xs really that much better than the xb? Does it sound as good as the xb though?

Yes the 300 will get WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY better fuel mileage and no the 300 will sound like a sewing machine...lol......Your XB can easily be made to put out over 300 ponies Just a thought.... ...My current 225 is putting out est. 270ish from minor mods

I will break trips in the next few weeks

My hull different from yoursso you WILL never get that fast with your boat but a modded XB can produce amazing power and get you over 90...Its all about how deep your pockets are and set-up time
