Re: Government and College Football (Alan S)

Why would that be such a big deal in Congress. Also i know the BCS is BS, but is it that much a big deal if they don't change it.Its a "GAME"...Is it that important that some smaller schools get to play in the BCS championship game.
Kids still get drafted on their performance not what bowl game they play in.
Allowing the Dictators of Congress to vote on this for a change is another step for them to rule this damn country..They need to keep their noses out of stuff thats not political..Thats my .02

Re: Government and College Football (bayou bullet 20xd)

I personally like the BCS... I know it's not a popular choice but currently you never see a player rest in college football. The games are much more important without a playoff system. There would still be controversy on who makes the playoffs. Say you have an 8 team playoff... well if #8 and #9 have the same amount of wins, the computer still decides who is the better team. What if you only take conference champs? How could a team from the WAC of C-USA go ahead of a 2nd place SEC team?

Not to mention how much money the BCS makes for the schools. Do you think NCAA presidents want a playoff? Hell NO.

I do not agree with the government getting involved in to anything though. They are already screwing up our tax dollars, let the colleges decide how they want to run their athletics.

well your .02 is well worth taking cause I can't stand for Congress getting involved with any private enterprise or anything else. They should fix the fricking economy instead of worrying about a playoff system. They pizzzz me offffffff.!!!!!!
